The assessment of cross-curricular key competences focuses on fostering and developing these skills. The ‘eduQarte Skills’ mobile app and platform enables a comprehensive assessment of life skills, cross-curricular competences and socio-emotional skills.

The focus is on the individual competence profile. This enables learners to actively engage with their strengths and areas for development. They set themselves goals and proactively shape their learning process. The application displays the individual competence profile and its development.

Develop and foster skills: eduQarte Skills Academy

The ‘eduQarte Skills Academy’ learning platform enables the targeted development of all cross-curricular key competences. The learning platform is tailored to the learner’s level and enables learners, teachers, educators and parents to develop these skills in a targeted manner through learning modules. The platform comprises numerous learning modules and supports searches based on criteria such as types of skills, age group, scope and duration of the learning sequences, level of difficulty, and more.

The learning platform is constantly being revised, expanded, optimised and further developed in a participatory manner, with academic support.

Thematic promotion and awareness: Life Skills und transversal key skills

eduQarte Skills is committed to promoting the development and quality of cross-curricular key competences. This includes the following activities:

  • Themed events: Life Skills / Key Competencies

  • national and international exchange of best practice for the development and assessment of competences with a view to support

  • Supporting and promoting the empirical foundations of applied research in the field of cross-disciplinary competences in collaboration with academic partners (quality assurance and knowledge development)

International cooperation, networking and best practices

eduQarte supports and maintains international networks and cooperation between educational institutions and academic partners, as well as promoting specific topics.

A key focus of international cooperation is, in particular, the mutual exchange of experiences regarding best practices, applications, and the development of schools and education.

Furthermore, when assessing and developing cross-curricular competences, it is also important to take cultural factors into account. For the purpose of quality development and optimising assessment tools, it is important to recognise how competences such as communication, creativity, critical thinking and social skills can be assessed and developed within a specific cultural context.
